I’m Hilary, a UX designer from Seattle
I first heard the siren call of human-centered design while working as a writer for local government programs. I saw how poor web design was limiting access to information and hindering business objectives. I starting using creative problem-solving paired with scrappy research to find more effectives ways of connecting with the public.
My desire to do work that connects people and makes their lives easier is what got me interested in the public service. Now, by practicing human-centered design, I’m able to do just that.
As a skilled communicator, I enjoy creating shared understanding across diverse audiences. I can effectively translate business requirements for collaborators and make design concepts digestible for stakeholders. I use my skills to be a persistent advocate for user needs and inclusive design practices.
I am currently looking for new opportunities in UX design, UX writing and product design,
